Hi, I’m Kit Morgan, LCSW (he/they) a therapist specializing in Sex, gender, and relationships for religious trauma survivors.

Building trust is at the foundation of any healthy relationship. Kit Morgan, LCSW understands disruption of trust well after being raised in the Independent Fundamentalist Baptist and Southern Baptist religious groups before coming out of the closet as queer and transgender.

After experiencing liberation from authoritarian-led Christianity, Kit became an award-winning business leader and internationally published author. Kit conducted research in attachment theory and harm reduction for the University of Notre Dame and Indiana University and served as a guest lecturer for identity development and 2SLGBTQIA+ religious trauma at Colgate University and the State University of New York.

Kit developed The Liberated Porch into a place that they needed when they were younger. The Liberated Porch is a thriving practice centered upon recovery for religious trauma survivors whose sexuality, gender, relationships, and identity were suppressed by their former religious group. Kit offers online therapy for individuals, relationships, and adult families in New York, Virginia, and Indiana and mentorship to other therapists across the world.
